In PoE, most of your grinding is done before you start playing your desired build. The process of creating builds can be similar but the process of gearing is very different because of the progression mechanics. No vast skill trees, but if we're being honest the "correct" skill trees in PoE are more or less fixed for any given build.
It's similar to PoE but a lot less complex than Grim Dawn. Is there a lot of build diversity / experimentation? Not looking for POE levels but just don’t want there to only be like 1-2 viable builds in endgame The $20 gets you the entire game, and it won't ever bug you for additional purchases again. It's on sale for under $20 until tomorrow and there's no way you fail to get your money's worth. Looks and plays better on PS5 than on PC. Right up your alley and it's shocking that you would've played so many other games in the genre without ever looking at D3.
